HATTRACK

Hattrack is a composer, guitarist, arranger, producer, sound engineer, and music teacher. He started making music at the age of 11 with the guitar, which his father and brother introduced him to and taught him to play. He then spent years learning on his own, developing his skills by ear, composing, and experimenting by himself.

Passionate about anime and video games since childhood, he was quickly drawn to the role music can play in these works and to the emotions it can convey. Dragon Ball GT was one of the first works to show him just how deeply anime could move him. Its opening theme, DAN DAN 心魅かれてく, holds a special place in this discovery and truly helped shape his otaku spirit.

He also started composing at an early age and has taken part in various musical projects over the years, both on stage and in the studio. Guitar remains one of his main means of expression, but music composition for visual media has gradually become an increasingly important part of his work.

He studied Musicology in Paris, as well as sound and audio production. He continues to learn and develop his skills across different areas of music and sound.

Today, Hattrack mainly works in composition, guitar, and music production. He also handles the recording, mixing, and mastering of his own projects.

When composing, emotion always comes first. He likes taking the time to search for a melody, harmony, or sound that can genuinely make people feel something. To him, a work should not be rushed or created simply for the sake of producing something: the time and care put into a creation can make all the difference.

This vision is particularly reflected in his projects with KANRAN Jun, his close friend and long-time collaborator. Together, they are currently developing AMEJILU and LoveJump, two very different musical projects that nevertheless come from the same desire to create.

In the long term, Hattrack and his close collaborators hope to develop Studio Meiyo, their animation studio, with the goal of creating their own anime and worlds using traditional techniques, on paper and celluloid.

For Hattrack, music is a way to tell stories, convey emotions, and bring to life the stories he accompanies and takes part in.
